1. Export Your Project from Katalist

Once you’ve finished creating your video project in the Timeline:

  • Click the Export button at the top right of your screen.

  • Choose the Adobe Premiere export option.

  • This will download a ZIP file containing your project’s XML file and all media assets.

2. Unzip the Exported File

  • Locate the ZIP file on your device.

  • Right-click and select Extract All or Unzip depending on your OS.

  • You should now see a folder containing all your scenes as clips.

3. Open Adobe Premiere Pro

  • Launch Adobe Premiere Pro on your computer.

  • From the top menu, go to File > Open Project.

  • Navigate to the unzipped folder and select exported_project_file.xml.

4. Premiere Automatically Loads the Sequence

  • Once loaded, Premiere will open a new project with all your Katalist clips arranged in order.

  • This gives you a single, coherent video sequence with each scene already placed in the timeline.

5. Make Final Edits or Export as One Video

From here, you can:

  • Make edits, add transitions, music, voiceovers, or titles.

  • Once done, go to File > Export > Media to render your complete video as a single file.
