To import an entire script into a Katalist project

  1. Create a script in a table format using a tool like Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, or Apple Numbers.

  2. Create 1 column where your script will be. Enter the name of the column (ex. "Scene description") in the first row.

  3. Enter the script row by row. Each row represents a storyboard panel in Katalist.

4. When you're done, export the file as a comma-separated values document or CSV.

5. Create a new Katalist project and drag and drop the CSV file into the droppable area.

Transforming Word documents into CSV files with GPT

You can transform a non-structured document into a CSV using ChatGPT.

  1. Copy and past the document into GPT and prompt it to format the script into a table.

  2. Next prompt ChatGPT to create a downloadable CSV file.

* Please note that as of writing a ChatGPT Plus subscription is required for CSV download.
