Lip Sync in Katalist allows you add natural-looking mouth movements that match your character’s dialogue or voiceover. Whether you’re creating a film, animation, or explainer video, you can make your scenes feel more dynamic using lip-sync.

Step 1: Open Your Project

  • Log in to your Katalist account.

  • From your dashboard, open the project where you want to add a lip sync.

  • If you haven’t created one yet, click New Project and upload or create your script.

Step 2: Go to the Storyboard

  • Once your storyboard is generated, you’ll see your scenes (frames).

  • Click on the scene that contains the character you want to lip-sync.

Step 3: Open the Lip Sync Tool

  • On the left side of the screen, click Edit (the pencil icon).

  • Toggle to Video at the top of the screen and In the editor, look for the Dialogue option (You’ll see it listed in the prompt editor box)

Step 4: Add or Record Voice

Upload Dialogue:

  • Enter the dialogue you want your character to say in the Lip Sync text field.

  • Once your dialogue is added, click Generate Video.

  • The system will process the lip sync and animate your character’s mouth movement to match the or dialogue.

Step 6: Review and Refine

  • Watch the video. If the sync doesn’t align perfectly:

    • Adjust the dialogue or Regenerate the video dialogue

Additional Notes

  • Plan Access: Lip Sync is available only on paid plans and not on the free trial.

  • Best Practice: Keep the dialogue between 300 characters and avoid multiple speakers in one scene for better accuracy.
